LET ME SCREAM THIS FROM THE ROOFTOPS ... Nothing beats a good eye rollerball product!
Rollerball eye serums have been my favorite method of application since Olay Regenerist discontinued the best eye roller on the market and replaced it with a cheaper, inferior version. Finding a workable eye cream or serum for me is difficult because of skin sensitivity and issues with most creams/ingredients, swelling, or the finish on my eye area. Oils are my go-to choice, and gels or gel creams come in second. Those are all applied with fingertips and can be hit and miss ... but the beauty of an eye rollerball is that it allows for smooth application and absorption of product with a steel ball. It's gentle and helps deposit the product better with deeper penetration into tissues, while also aiding lymphatic drainage of the eye area to reduce tissue swelling using the technique of rollerball massage. It's a twofold benefit.
Yes, you massage (roll) the serum or cream into the eye area with the rollerball. The pushbutton bottom can deliver the desired amount of product around the rim of the rollerball. DON'T USE TOO MUCH. Do one eye, and then add more product for the other eye. Roll in one direction from inner corner of undereye to outer corner, then up and around the brow bone to the inner edge of the eyebrow. Don't roll toward the inner corner of the eye, or roll back and forth, or push hard, or tug the skin. You want to drain away from the eye corner, not toward it. Do that several times for absorption and drainage. There's ABSOLUTELY NOTHING BETTER THAN A ROLLERBALL. That discontinued Olay product had the best ingredients and rollerball, but this is a good sub for it.
Chasin' Rabbits a brand that I know and own some of their great products, so trying this one in my favorite style was a no-brainer. The eye serum turns out to be pretty incredible on its own, which was a pleasant surprise. If you know anything about ingredients, it's packed with some great ones that smooth wrinkles, hydrate, plump, and leave an amazing finish around the eye. This is a transformative serum, not a cover-up. The liquid penetrates deep, and leaves a very smooth, glassy surface with a sheen that stays hydrated to the touch LONG after application. It's exactly the kind of end result that rejuvenates the eye area to plump and fill lines and leave a smooth, youthful appearance no matter the age. It's everything I want it to be. Arginine, almond oil, niacinamide, beta glucan, hyaluronic acid, tocopherol, sacha inchi oil (using another name) for dry sensitive skin, matcha to stimulate microcirculation, anti-inflammatory anti-oxidants, etc., etc.
It may be a matter of personal taste, but rollerball serums feel as light on the skin as any eye product can, but the effects and the look of the eye are WOW. Still my fave method of eye products.
