The Dolphin Says, "Do I Love You?"
G'day Mate Sunscreen was co-developed with 'Surf Creator, Keep Surfing', who loves the sea and surfing.
The act of applying sunscreen before heading out to the ocean is something we always do. Since it can easily wash off in the water, we tend to reapply it repeatedly!
However, the amount of sunscreen we apply during our time in the sea is immense, and we're unintentionally sending a huge quantity of sunscreen into the ocean. Among the ingredients we've washed off, oxybenzone and octinoxate cause coral bleaching, which can kill coral reefs and even damage the DNA of marine life. Regular sunscreens we use daily also flow into the ocean through wastewater when we wash our face, which is why we created a 'mineral sunscreen' that is safe for both skin and the environment.
